The first 12+ hours and I'm damn exhausted!
Baby G reached this morning, with her mother. They'll be here for a couple of weeks. As much as I missed her, she drains me out! An incessant chatter, she told me almost everything she could remember and think of from her tiny mind, plus she sang 10 songs for me! All moments I enjoyed but at 10.30 p.m. I'm sleepy and my bones feel like jelly.
"Can I sleep with you?", she pouted when I told her I feel sleepy and tired.
"No. You can't. My bed is not big enough for me and you and Honey Lips", I softly said.
"I'll sleep behind your back. Okay?", she persisted.
"No hun. And you'll be sleeping in mommy's bedroom until your bedroom is ready", I explained to her.
"Uncle Honey Lips will be mad at you if I sleep in your bed with you?", she just wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Never. Uncle Honey Lips and I love you. I'd be happy to have you sleeping with me but we gotta wait for Mommy. Okay?", I reassured her.
If Baby G is the daughter of FIL and his wife, then why is she calling Honey Lips uncle, you might be wondering, right? Well Baby G is in fact the grand-daughter of Honey Lips! Woot! Woot! (And the rest will be unraveled to y'all in another post! ;p)
"Mmmm, no. I want to sleep with you!", and then she caught my stern look and quickly said, "Okay. You go to sleep and in 9 hours, at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning (she's still grasping Maths and time), we'll meet."
"Deal! 9 o'clock tomorrow morning", I promised to her.
"Good. Now close your eyes and go to sleep. In your chair. And I'll sleep here, in my chair", she innocently said.
This conversation happened outside, while we were catching a breeze because it's way too hot.
"What? No. I'll sleep in my bed, not outside here", alarmingly uttered of course.
She looked around and came up with, "Nothing will happen to us out here. It's safe!"
And she went on and on defending/arguing her case...
Stubborn lil bugger? Damn right!
But hey! I got bare love for my lil munchkin.
